Man sat on sofa

Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will ever make. Yet many buyers are still expected to decide whether a property is right for them based largely on photographs, a listing description and a short viewing.

Architect and entrepreneur Olivier Jauniaux has launched NestLink, a new PropTech platform designed to give homebuyers a clearer picture of a property before they make an offer.

Built around a simple question, “Is this the right home for me?”, NestLink brings together property information, local intelligence and a buyer’s own priorities to help people make more informed decisions and reduce the risk of buyer’s regret.

A key feature of the platform is NestScore, a free score from 1 to 10 that gives every property across England and Wales a straightforward starting point for understanding its potential strengths and risks.

For buyers who want to dig deeper, NestLink’s KnowYourNest reports bring together information covering financial security, home health, area quality, legal flags and future risks. The reports draw on property and location data from sources including HM Land Registry, the EPC Register, flood-risk data, the British Geological Survey, police crime data, Ofsted and the Coal Authority.

But NestLink is designed to go beyond simply telling buyers whether a property looks good on paper. Users can create a personal Wishlist, recording what matters to them, from budget and commuting requirements to household needs, lifestyle and future plans. This allows buyers to consider not only the question “Is this a good property?” but also “Is this the right property for me?”

NestLink was founded by ARB-registered architect Olivier Jauniaux, who has more than a decade of experience in architecture, residential property and development. His experience gave him first-hand insight into how difficult it can be for buyers to access and interpret the information that could influence one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

Commenting on the launch CEO and Co-Founder of NestLink, Olivier Jauniaux said:

“As an architect, I have seen how much buyers cannot tell from a property listing, and sometimes never fully understand even after they have completed a purchase. NestLink is designed to bring that information together earlier, when it can actually help people make a better decision.”

NestLink is now available to homebuyers and homeowners across England and Wales. NestScore is free, with additional KnowYourNest reports available from £9.95.
