An electrical contractor ends the month with Google Local Services Ads open in one tab and Jobber in another. Which inquiries became panel upgrades? Which became smaller service calls? Which never turned into work?
If each record does not have a consistent lead source, that means having to do manual work to answer those questions. For electrical, plumbing, HVAC and roofing contractors, it means marketing is right in your way of business.
This guide is a comparison of 5 Google LSA software tools that are available for businesses using Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan. It’s about what follows an inquiry: Responding, qualifying, CRM integration, booking and tracking.
The brief answer is: look for a tool that retains the Google LSA as the source, includes beneficial job information and helps you schedule. A prompt response helps to begin the discussion. It is not a guarantee of an appointment made or a job creating revenue.
Why CRM Integration Matters for Trade Contractors
Different steps are required after the panel upgrade, leaky pipe and roof inspection. Your lead-handling should gather information that your office requires to determine what to do with the lead.
If inquiries and job records reside in different systems, staff can re-enter data, repeat questions and forget where a lead is from. A Google Local Services Ads CRM integration should help prevent those gaps.
The acronym CRM stands for customer relationship management. For this guide, it’s the customer, request and job records contained in your field service application. They should show the progress of each inquiry from quoting to booking and completion.
A roofing inspection appointment is for example not a finished roof replacement. Logging both stages will make your office more aware of the part where leads stall in the process. This also prevents marketing reports from recording an estimate visit as work done.
Speed of response remains important. Google lists responsiveness as an ad-ranking factor and says missed calls may negatively affect it.
While a Google LSA auto responder can minimize delays, it won’t ensure a better ad position or a better lead cost or lead completion rate. Track customer results and response time.
What to Check Before Choosing Google LSA Software
Write the work that your office does first. When comparing tools, use these 6 checks:
- CRM connection: Does your platform have a direct integration, or do you use Zapier, or do you have a custom connection? Inquire about the records that connect establishes and how it takes care of repeat clients.
- Job context: Do service type, address, timing, qualification notes and conversation history transfer? Giving the dispatcher just a name and phone number might lead to more questions.
- Source attribution: Does Google LSA stick with the lead when it’s a request or a job? Verify the location of the source and its availability for reports.
- Booking: Does the tool create an appointment or just a contact? Check availability of time, service area, jobs, and crew assignment. A booked status in Google does not equal a CRM appointment!
- Human control: Is it possible to stop automation and switch back to manual control? Complex estimates, access restrictions and requests that fall outside of your service scope must have an owner.
- Reporting and cost: Ensure there are subscription, channel and usage charges. Next, compare the number of qualified inquiries, booked appointments and paid jobs completed.
Five Tools to Compare
These descriptions are based on the public product documentation and integration documentation and not on hands-on testing of performance. The order is just a comparison, not a measurement of the conversion rate. Finalize plan access and integration in a demonstration.
1. LeadTruffle
Home service companies use AI lead response and booking software called LeadTruffle. Its Google LSA integration allows leads and conversations can be synced directly from Google Ads. Another supported response setting is the option for forwarding emails.
AI can reply to message leads and collect job information and apply follow-up rules as defined. The office can take the lead with its source, context and qualification information.
Its documented CRM connections include all three platforms in this guide. Booking is available when enabled and properly configured:
- Jobber: appointment booking, with customer and request sync.
- Housecall Pro: Customer & service-address sync, calendar based booking.
- ServiceTitan: customer or lead sync and booking through a customer-specific private app connection.
Additionally, LeadTruffle integrates supported website, phone and marketplace inquiries into a single inbox. Staff have the ability to stop AI and control a conversation. AI voice workflows can be set up to answer calls and to qualify and book.
The practical issue is whether the subsequent care taker can take over without having to request the homeowner repeat the information. Test inbox and what actually gets into CRM – different views may be used for different things.
LSA reporting includes Google-reported spend, charged leads and impressions, plus average cost per charged lead for the selected period. The average is an average of a reporting period, not the price of each inquiry.
- Fit: contractors needing response, qualification, booking and source tracking in one workflow.
- Check: supported sync fields, booking rules, human handoff, channel access and total quoted cost. Not all services can be booked automatically through a connected CRM.
2. Hatch
Hatch is a customer messaging and AI solution provider for home service and home improvement companies. Message leads are received within Hatch through its Google LSA connection and can be automated for outreach.
Jobber and ServiceTitan integrations are mentioned on the company’s website, and live booking is explained on ServiceTitan resources. However, the Jobber connection doesn’t imply that it provides identical booking actions. If you are connected to Housecall Pro, be sure to verify your connection before selecting Hatch.
- Fit: teams assessing LSA follow-up with customers in addition to LSA outreach.
- Check: what fields sync and what conversation details sync, if source attribution is transferred and what happens when you fail to book. Ask for a quote for the access to the platform, use of the platform, locations and contract terms.
3. Auto-Respond
Auto-Respond has automation features for individual lead sources, including Google LSA. It has been documented that the workflow for this LSA includes following up the reply, setting up a follow-up, and an optional voice callback.
Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan are both in its list of CRM integrations. There was no mention of Jobber in the list that was reviewed.
Google LSA subscription is $49 per month (published). There are extra active sources which are billed separately. LSA subscription does not cover a multi-channel or voice setup—Voice also incurs phone-number and usage charges.
- Fit: businesses assessing a source-specific response workflow.
- Check: Periodic creation of CRM records, appearance of bookings and transfer of Google LSA. Make sure for follow-up to cease after a reply/booking and work out the cost of all channels to be activated.
4. LSArespond
LSArespond is geared towards Google LSA Lead Management. It documents customizable reply and follow-up messaging, missed-call texts, and AI call summary of answered calls and transfer to CRM leads in public documentation.
It is integrated with Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan. The product can also mark leads as booked or archived within LSA as well. Marking a lead as booked in LSA does not, by itself, confirm that an appointment was created in your CRM. Check the integration’s scheduling capabilities.
It has answered-call AI functions that analyse calls. The company claims that it doesn’t take incoming calls for the business.
- Fit: contractors who want an LSA-specific response and data transfer.
- Check: What information is captured into your CRM, how does the customer respond, and if it is still manual to schedule. Ask for current subscription, per-lead and integration fees all in one so that you can get the entire picture.
5. PrimeLSA
LSA account analysis is available in PrimeLSA’s Advantage workflow, including an auto-reply message. It also features approved templates, fixed follow ups and smart intake options, which are documented. Availability is dependent on the linked account.
Replies are based on the LSA schedule of the account and notifications provide human handoff. There was no documentation listed on the reviewed auto-reply page for booking directly into Jobber, Housecall Pro or ServiceTitan.
- Fit: operators that will check on LSA account visibility and controlled message handling.
- Check: Response options, CRM transfer, calendar actions and separate call-lead handling. Determine who is going to take ownership of the next step following the acknowledgment and ensure that the price of Advantage and any response related charges are understood.
Test the Workflow Before Committing
Use a representative enquiry in a demonstration or trial. For instance, accept a homeowner who has asked for an electrical panel inspection and make an appointment to inspect it from the initial message to the scheduled appointment.
Have the person who handles your bookings review the demonstration. They can be aware of missing addresses, inappropriate appointment durations or assignment policies that a general software walkthrough may miss. Document what manual tasks are still required, or needed to be done, by your team.
Look at these elements in your real CRM:
- No unnecessary duplicate records created for the correct customer/request.
- Google LSA is still where it comes from and the office can see the details already collected.
- An appointment that has been booked shows up with the right time, job type and assignment.
- When a slot is not available, returning customer or out-of-area request plays by the rules.
- A conversation requiring human review reaches the right person.
Cost per booked appointment is LSA spend divided by LSA-attributed appointments. Cost per completed paid job is LSA spend divided by LSA-attributed completed paid jobs. Use a consistent reporting period.
Do not mix up cancellations, duplicates and jobs that are still outstanding. Otherwise, the figures may make performance appear better than it is.
Choose Around the Work Your Office Needs to Do
The best Google LSA software depends on what your team needs once they receive an inquiry. What is the main task – acknowledgment, qualification, scheduling or reporting?
Check that this process works in the CRM your office already uses. Keep the lead source through completion, assign an owner to exceptions and judge the tool by completed work alongside response speed.
