About Nakamoto Forestry Europe

Nakamoto Forestry Europe supplies “Shou Sugi Ban” (or Yakisugi), a cladding material made from fire-treated Japanese cypress (Sugi). We are a family-run producer with over 2,000 hectares of PEFC-certified forest, charring every board in Japan using a century-old technique. The dark and beautiful cladding is naturally resistant to weather, insects and fire without chemical preservatives. Based near Düsseldorf, we supply all of Europe as the world’s largest authentic “Shou Sugi Ban” producer.
