The TRIQBRIQ system uses micro-modular wooden building blocks (BRIQs) made from inexpensive low-grade and damaged wood as well as reclaimed wood. The BRIQs are assembled on site and locked together with wooden dowels to form load-bearing walls.

Due to the absence of adhesive joints and the circular design, the BRIQs are completely demountable and reusable. Furthermore, a TRIQBRIQ shell stores considerable amounts of CO2 (125–200 kg CO2 per square metre of wall surface).
