Emmaus Gloucestershire supports people who have been homeless by offering a home for as long as needed, meaningful work in its social enterprise, daily support and funded training. Emmaus collects second-hand items to sell in its five charity shops and eBay store, not only to fund its work but to save unnecessary items from going to landfill. In 2019, Emmaus Gloucestershire saved 556 tonnes of items from the waste chain – the weight equivalent to 44 double decker buses and continues to look for new and innovative ways to make a positive impact on the environment.
