Architecture Awards 2026 Nicolas Hallak has been working in the field of interior architecture and design since 2003, before establishing NH Interiors in 2015. Today, NH Interiors specialises in interior architecture, bespoke furniture design and consultancy for residential, commercial and workplace environments. The studio serves a diverse range of clients, from homeowners and entrepreneurs to organisations and property developers, all united by a common objective: to create spaces with strong identities that are thoughtfully designed around the people who use them. NH Interiors is led by Nicolas Hallak, who brings more than two decades of experience in interior architecture and design. His work combines creativity with functionality, blending raw, pure, and noble materials with colours and finishes that influence human behaviour, perception and mood. Ultimately, Nicolas’ work is steered by his belief that the best architecture does not ask to be admired but instead quietly enriches the lives of the people who experience it every day. “I believe every space already has its own identity,” Nicolas told us. “My role is not to impose one, but to understand its potential and reveal it through architecture. Every project begins by understanding how people will live, work, and interact within a space before any design decisions are made. From there, I develop a cohesive architectural concept where space, materials, lighting, and bespoke furniture evolve together as one composition.” Once the concept has been established, it becomes the reference point for every subsequent choice made. Whether detailing a staircase, designing a bespoke piece of furniture, or selecting materials, every element must reinforce the same architectural idea. Nicolas remains personally involved throughout the entire process – from concept sketches to final execution – to preserve the integrity of the original concept and maintain consistency in every detail. Nicolas approaches every project as a complete architectural composition, rather than a collection of individual elements. Furniture is not simply selected once the architecture is complete, but is instead designed by NH Interiors as an extension of the architecture itself. This approach allows bespoke furniture, materials, lighting, and space to evolve alongside one another and speak the same design language. NH Interiors is further defined by its attention to detail. Here, detailing goes far beyond material selection and finishes; it is about creating a visual dialogue between the floor, walls, and ceiling, aligning architectural lines, joints, recesses, and built elements wherever possible. These relationships are often subtle and may not be consciously noticed by the user, but they create a sense of order, proportion, and harmony that people instinctively experience. In a recent project, NH Interiors was tasked with the interior architecture of an office building. The challenge was to create a workplace in which technical building elements and refined interior spaces could coexist naturally. Rather than concealing ductwork, cable trays, and structural components, Nicolas integrated them into the architectural language of the project whilst balancing them with custom-designed furniture, carefully selected materials, and clean, uncluttered workspaces. “The objective was to create an environment that feels technically honest without sacrificing Where some design firms choose to follow trends, NH Interiors stands out for creating timeless environments that balance functionality, proportion, and emotion. Every element is carefully considered at NH Interiors, as the firm blends architecture and furniture together to transform everyday spaces into environments that improve the quality of life for the people who experience them. It confirms something I have always believed: architecture becomes more interesting when it embraces its constraints instead of hiding them. Watching that idea evolve from sketches into built reality is probably the aspect I am most proud of.” Looking ahead, this year will see NH Interiors completing several residential and commercial projects whilst continuing to strengthen its core identity. For Nicolas, whose work has earned NH Interiors the title of Best Interior Architecture & Furniture Design Company 2026 – Lebanon, true growth lies in further opportunities to create spaces that remain relevant and meaningful for years to come. “Receiving this award is a meaningful milestone in my professional journey, and I am truly grateful for this recognition,” Nicolas shared. “More than celebrating a particular project or aesthetic, I see it as recognition of a philosophy that has guided my work throughout the years: architecture should always evolve around people. Beyond creating beautiful spaces, it should enhance the quality of everyday life by improving the way we live, work, and interact with our surroundings. When a space supports wellbeing, comfort, and human experience in a natural way, it has fulfilled its true purpose.” Contact: Nicolas Hallak Company: NH Interiors Web Address: www.nicolashallak.com Best Interior Architecture & Furniture Design Company 2026 – Lebanon
