This project serves as an immense source of pride for the team. “One of the aspects we are most proud of is the recovery of many of the building’s original architectural features, including decorative ceilings and paintings that were thought to have been lost,” Héctor told us. “Working alongside an outstanding restoration team, and with the close collaboration of the city’s heritage authorities, we were able to recover and reinstate these elements, allowing them to be experienced once again within a building that has been given a new purpose.” Another project that lies particularly close to Heres Arquitectura’s heart is the Little Beach House. Although modest in scale, the property is located in an exceptional setting by the sea. Through this project, the team encountered a building dating back to the 1960s that had fallen into a state of disrepair and set out to bring both the architecture and its purpose back to life. The completed project has introduced new energy and vitality into the area, whilst establishing a harmonious relationship with the surrounding homes.
