One project in particular which highlights the studio’s impeccable range is one of their latest developments which was a ,000 sq. ft residential project, located on Long Island, in New York State, featuring an incredible view onto Manhattan. The family worked in NYC and was searching for a place that would allow them to escape from the city’s noise and traffic after the day, and reconnect them with nature. They wanted to be calm and mindful in their home after a stressful day in the Big Apple. Following previous trips, the Israeli/American family had fallen in love with the vivid colors and nature of Brazil and wanted to incorporate the intensity of nature into their project. Hence, the project started with two basic design directions: Geometric and Organic; the contradiction between two forms - City and Nature - working together in harmony. However, the specific challenge for this project was the question of how to integrate the warmth of nature in a modern geometric residential development? How to integrate strong geometric shapes W with the flow of organic formations? How to make this antagonistic arrangement work in harmony? CG Design ensured that every space of the residence was designed with this dichotomy in mind, as it resembled the dynamic of the client’s style of life. The integration and harmonization of these two worlds resulted in the project’s modern, yet warm interior with colors popping up, letting the grey concrete flow into a lot of tones of wood, that integrate the space with the spectacular city views. Overall, the spaces encapsulate peace are at the same time are powered by the city’s energy. As CG Design continues to evolve with their clients, many of those they have worked with are asking the innovative practice to work with them on their commercial projects or are referring them to their network. Having established a solid reputation in the market for creating luxury single family residential developments, the firm has recently branched out into hospitality projects and most recently into interior design for custom-built super yachts.
