Since the country is not very rich in forestry and there is a lack of wood available, CPBM is focused on specialising in recycled fibre-based products, minimising the need for wood pulp in its products. Through continuous R&D into a waste paper collection mechanism, the company has been maximising its production using waste paper. Many of its products are produced with 100% recycled fibre, while others contain a single percentage of recycled wood pulp. This strategy has enabled CPBM to produce the best quality products at affordable prices and with limited dependence on imports of wood pulp from the global market. Recently, one of CPBM’s customers established a major printing house equipped with hi-tech, high-speed machines. Keeping in view the target market, the customer was interested in a low cost, but quality packaging board capable of running smoothly through their machines. Any product with a blend of imported wood pulp wasn’t suitable for them, but CPBM managed to produce and deliver a quality packaging board made from 100% recycled fibre, which was successful in raising the confidence of the customer, domestic market and the CPBM team. CPBM has been working to eliminate or minimise its dependence on imported wood pulp. As a result of a lot of travel, the company’s dependence on wood pulp has minimised.
