BUILD Q4 issue

Q4 2018 Build 15 stay ahead of the game as well as other similar businesses within the industry. “There are many other exceptional PR companies on paper doing exact- ly the same as us. But as a team I don’t believe we can be challenged. Both of us have worked in the lifting industry for almost 15 years; we are at the coalface and our contacts span globally across OEMs, distributors, end users, trade associations, and of course the media. It is in our DNA and relationships are key. Also, we have walked the aisles of a myriad of international trade shows, attended numerous conferences, and regular- ly get involved with consultancy work and helping steering committees. We know which business sectors are current and where the emerging markets are. “BH makes it our business to identify the key players and source possible partners in these areas. This is knowledge we share with our customers and obviously we make introductions where we think there will be mutual benefits. We are very proud of our book of clients; it is a portfolio of non-competing companies, many of whom are now working together—some are even cross marketing, which is awesome. It is a serious business, but we find time to network with our customers and endeavour to bring them all together a couple of times a year.” The publishing world is evolving all the time, especially with the advance- ment of the digital age and social media, as Mark explains. At Bridger Howes, we keep a close eye on what traditional publishing houses are doing and Rich networks with a couple of social media groups and attends two or three events a year. However, our core busi- ness is producing high quality content; it is not rocket science, it’s an art form. As a whole, we are more about creative thinking and writing than creating innovative solutions.” Bringing the interview to a close, Mark signs off by revealing what pro- jects lay in the pipeline for the dynamic duo, as well as envisioning what the future holds for BH. “Moving forward, we aim to broaden our client list; there are many components within the lifting industry so potential is huge. We aspire to represent a crane manufacturer—one of the big boys. Other areas of the construction industry interest us; you don’t have to be a manufacturer of lifting equipment to work with BH. I walked ConExpo last year in Las Vegas; we can easily apply our business model to an earth-moving machinery company, for example. “Looking ahead to what the future holds, we have some plans; however, I can’t expand too much at this point, but feel free to check back in the New Year! All I can say is we are currently looking at a totally different market sector and hope to bring in an industry expert to head up this division.” Company: Bridger Howes Address: 27 Seniac Road, London, SE12 9NB, UK Telephone: 01403 264164 Web Address: www.bridgerhowes.com Twitter: @BridgerHowes
