BUILD Q3 2018

36 Build Q3 2018 ounded by Directors Jake Owen and Anthony Fouracre, Bus- cott Woodworking has built a reputation for being outstand- ing craftsmen, with a comprehensive, tested knowledge of their trade and material. Nowhere is this more evident than in their catalogue of work – a portfolio defined by a world-leading dedication to luxury standards. From Tudor-inspired grand staircases, and traditional mahogany panelling to bespoke walnut veneered kitchens, Buscott create art that emboldens, revitalises and uplifts the space that the piece inhabits. To put it simply, Buscott Woodworking are setting the standard that the rest of the industry try to keep pace with. Naturally, all three directors share a passion for joinery, and – remarka- bly – a shared beginning at John Edmonds Cabinet Makers, where they found a love for their craft. Jake Owen, one of the founding directors, started an apprenticeship at the age of 16 at John Edmonds Cabi- net Makers, before moving to complete a City and Guilds course in carpentry, joinery, furniture and cabinet making in conjunction with his apprenticeship. Similarly, in 1995, Anthony Fouracre became an apprentice under John Edmonds whilst studying furniture making at Yeovil College. He left that firm to complete his Bachelor of Art in Applied Furniture Studies at Somerset’s Finest Craftsmanship Founded in 2014 by Fulvio Jaramillo, DECON LLC is a structural engineering firm based out of Houston, Texas. F Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College. In 1999, the final director, Adam Butterell, started a summer job at John Edmonds Cabinet Makers whilst completing a Bachelor of Art in furniture design and craftmanship at Buckinghamshire Chilterns. He joined Buscott Woodworking shortly after it was created in October of 2012. Further to all of that, Buscott also employ an environmental policy that advocates for minimal waste and sustainable use. In recent years, they have attained accreditation by the Woodland Carbon Code, standing as testament to their dedication to an eco-friendly outlook. BUILD Magazine launched the Residential Top 50 Awards to celebrate craftsmen, designers and contractors who are making their mark in their highly competitive industries. Buscott Woodworking are undoubtedly deserving of their position in the top 50 as undisputed experts in joinery and cabinet making.
