This is a multi-building project that includes a music building and four new dormitories with two apartments per floor, each with three bedrooms, three baths, and a living area. The challenge of this project was to deliver high efficiency in both design and construction – providing long-term energy savings and low maintenance costs – and required a reduced construction timeline due to increased student enrollment. Delivering high efficiency in design and construction, the company provided R-33 load-bearing exterior walls for three floors and an R-60 roof panel system with support beams and end wall assemblies. The team completed the project on schedule and budget – including an onsite panel installation consultation – with a maintenance-free design. Ultimately, Guardian Structural Technologies equipped Wilberforce University with long-term sustainability – reflected in energy savings of 82%.
