With a wide base of clientele, the company undertakes projects of all sizes within these sectors, though its main focus lies on supporting and enhancing passive fire protection systems within the education sector; due to a vast number of educational buildings being of age and fire protection not being prioritised, a significant volume of non-compliance is overlooked. With the pressure of regulations and legal requirements increasing, these schools are under immense pressure to adapt. This demand, however, is supported by the Education and Skills Funding Agency, part of the Department for Education, through an initiative called Condition Improvement Funding, or CIF. The role of CIF is to support projects that address compliance, health and safety issues, and maintenance needs. These high priority projects, such as fire safety, are granted the funding to carry out their projects. Evolution is positioned as a selected specialist contractor for CIF, with the ability to tender for proposed projects, and the recipient of an annual list of projects for which it has been selected.
