The full suite of services includes architectural design; mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) and sprinkler design; and equipment and furniture guidance. It works with a variety of markets including single and multifamily residential, mixed-use and commercial developments. It also provides engineering services for structures impacted by the New York City Department of Buildings’ Facade Inspection and Safety Programmes (FISP) which requires regular repairs and maintenance to buildings taller than six storeys. One of Node AEC’s core guiding principles is to enhance the quality of life for clients and the surrounding community. It is determined to increase the number of passive house- certified homes in the US, embracing passive house design as fundamental to every project it undertakes. Node AEC designed the first passive house-certified residence in Middle Village, Queens. Its team also designed one of the first pre-certified passive house multifamily projects in Charlotte Gardens, Bronx, recently featured in Our Corner of the Planet, a documentary about sustainability released through Amazon Prime in September 2020. Educating its clients on the importance of sustainable build for a better lived environment is at the core of everything it does. One future passive house-certified project Node AEC is particularly proud of is a two-building 18,000sqft development in the Bronx on Bryant Avenue called Off Bryant. Off Bryant is a midrise multifamily project that will have a total of 24 units.
