As the Illinois-based firm celebrates success for their recent project, Bluff Modern, a contemporary residential design, we had a closer look at Massey Associates Architects. stablished in 2005, Massey Associates Architects, an award-winning Chicago based architecture firm, has been utilizing their organizational and design experience to create exceptional contemporary residential architecture that is rooted in historical precedent, but reinterpreted with a modern vision. The brief included a double height family room and called for a design that maximized interior and exterior relationships, featuring a space that could be open and used all year round. The result was a stately yet casual design featuring spaces and forms that defy any mainstream design style. The use of materials and details provide character without overwhelming the space, to create a home that is modern, inviting and a true manifestation of the client’s wishes.
