We complete reactive roof maintenance with our very own cherry pickers and in-house operatives, preventative roof maintenance and roofing systems. Additionally, we have a large in-house multi-disciplined workforce who are trained to the highest standards in health and safety and the installation of waterproofing systems.” Operating in such a male dominated market, it is no surprise that Roofing Consultants has a workforce comprised primarily of men. Despite this, Amy, who has been with the firm for eight years, has worked hard to suc- ceed and aims to support other women in the market, as she believes that women can be just as successful as their male counterparts. “At Roofing Consultants, we have a highly male work force, with over 40 roofing operatives and each of them being men. Our Office each year is beginning to employ more female staff, we currently have around 15 office staff, ranging from contracts managers, Business Development Managers, Accounts managers, we are becoming very aware that the construction field would strive with more female employees, so we cur- rently have two highly qualified accountants in our finance and accounts department and 1 admin / purchasing coordinator. Although we are still very male orientated as the business grows we would like to keep intro- ducing females to our work place.” Ultimately, Roofing Consultants takes great pride in the success it has achieved so far, and looks forward to achieving even more in the future, as Amy proudly concludes. “Overall, we are extremely proud of our continued commitment to excel- lence and best practice in the commercial roofing industry.
