Second is Empathy. Conbu’s homes are an extension of who we are as people. This is front and centre in Angela’s mind when designing for her clients and she endeavours to see the world in their shoes. Lastly, education is vital, as she strongly believes in lifelong learning and the love of mastering new skills and exploring new styles and inspiration. Alongside her creating Conbu, Angela is a member of the Irish Georgian Society and suggests designers follow their passion, work with their strengths and never stop learning. She has also been President of the Interiors Association since 2014 and takes great pleasure in being selected as a Judge at Ireland’s annual Fit Out Awards. Fundamentally, Angela’s passion for luxury home interiors and custom furniture design is paired with razor-sharp organisation, personable customer relations, excellent service and a pocket book full of Ireland’s premier suppliers, contractors and craftspeople. The project manage- ment skills acquired working in the corporate business world were directly applicable in interior design, and this is what sets Angela apart from other interior designers. Ultimately, despite being founded during the recession, Conbu Interior Design has gone from strength to strength, since inception, and moving forward there are big plans to grow the firm and build upon its current success.
