Build Facilities Management Awards 2016

23 2016 Facilities Management Awards Build environments tend to have poor energy efficiency and do not have inbuilt sensing/modern BMS capabilities, but could provide the biggest opportunity to improve energy and efficiency through better awareness and pro-active behaviour. Being able to quickly and easily (non-destructive installations) retrofit sensor capabilities into these environments, and make that data available to other enterprise systems will help ‘legacy’ buildings benefit from the same (or better) management and optimization as nearly-new and modern buildings within the Manchester Corridor. This will have a positive effect on reducing energy usage, as well as improving the wellbeing and productivity of workers within the buildings.”
