Build Magazine December 2015

Build Magazine 70 Please tell us what your business does. Our office creates, manages and builds projects with a strong focus on design, sustainability and health. Our asset is working in trans-scalar scenarios from urban design to architectural solutions offering an integrated approach to projects. Give us an overview of who your clients are. Mainly medium size companies with strong innovation orientation that seek to transform their working and business environments and take architecture as way to update the brand values from inside out. We also work for public institutions when facing urban studies and small private owners that seek singular solutions. What makes you stand out from other firms in your market? I would say that the integrated and coherent vision of design at different scales, and the strong commitment to sustainability and healthy solutions. What’s your biggest challenge facing you at present? The biggest challenge is getting interesting working opportunities in our region to maintain our current business focus active. Therefore, we are also active producing visionary and speculative designs trying to open the minds of certain stakeholders with the aim of making more visible our sense of design. We will also try to use the showcase of San Sebastian 2016 European Cultural Capital to open new collaborations internationally. What is the aim for your business? To create mutual long-term benefit relations with our clients to be able to evolve together as it is common in other businesses, providing integrated solutions at many stages of the life cycle of build- ings and urban environments. Tell us about your company’s biggest challenge. To consolidate the integrated projects as a central activity of the office and to strengthen our own design methodolo- gy based on quality, commitment and innovation. So we will have the tools and confidence to provide the best solutions to our current clients and the new ones coming. What individual in your industry and beyond do you admire the most and why? I admire young talents as Bjarke Ingels who are close to my age and have been able to introduce fresh air into the construction industry, both conceptualiz- ing interesting hybrid designs and have also been able to bring those visions into reality.
